Da City Parade: Storytelling Through Poetry + Photography is an online interactive workshop designed by Award Winning Documentary Photographer Symone Titania Major.

This workshop will explore the art of storytelling through the artistic mediums of photography and poetry. The structure for this workshop will be based on Major’s documentary images from Da City Parade, a chronological photo series that archives the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in Liberty City. Participants will reflect on the images through poetic expression and will have the opportunity to be featured in Major’s, Da City Parade Postcard Zine. Students will walk away with a better understanding of how to capture and explain their story with the resources that are accessible to them.
